Kindergarten Registration Now Open

The Highland Central School District (HCSD) will begin Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year on February 2, 2026. Registration will remain open through May 1, 2026.

Children who will be five years old by December 1, 2026, are eligible to register. Families may pick up a registration packet at Highland High School (320 Pancake Hollow Road) on weekdays between 8 AM and 2 PM, beginning on February 2, or call (845) 691-1032 to make other arrangements.

Please note that any child currently enrolled in the HCSD Universal Pre-Kindergarten program or other preschool services will still need to register for Kindergarten.

Kindergarten Screening

Kindergarten screening will take place on May 8, 2026, and will be conducted by appointment only. Screening appointments are scheduled after all required registration documents have been submitted. Once paperwork is received, families will be emailed a SignUpGenius link to select an appointment time for screening day.
